Israel Bonds event to host Ambassador Aharoni on Thursday

The regional office of the Israel Bonds office will sponsor a community reception this coming Thursday night at Congregation Beth Israel, 4004 West Esplanade Avenue in Metairie., at which Ambassador Ido Aharoni, the Consul General for Israel, will be the guest speaker.

The event begins at 7:30 p.m., at which time the ambassador will be speaking about the current ongoing crisis in the Middle East. Aharoni is expected to give his own take on what the events will foretell for the Jewish state.

Aharoni is considered one of the foremost experts on media, especially as to how Israel is depicted by members of the Fourth Estate. Because of his easy and accessible style, he is quite regularly sought after for comments and is regarded as one of  the most popular Israeli diplomatic personalities.

Israel Bonds will also recognize John Kennedy, the Louisiana State Treasurer for the state’s recent investments in Israel Bonds including a $10 million purchase just this past year.
