Temple Sinai offers lots of free Chanukah activities

Following an opportunity to learn how to make latkes this morning, Temple Sinai will be stepping up its Chanukah game with several opportunities for community members to join in the fun. All events are free and open to the public.

A latke bar with all the fixings (sour cream, apple sauce, lox, salsa, guacamole, hummus, tzatziki, and pomegranate seeds) will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Temple Sinai, 6327 St. Charles Avenue. In addition to a vodka martini bar with several traditional martinis, there will Chanukah mocktails available.

A glitter bar from Elektra Cosmetics will be part of the fun and the temple will hold a raffle with fun prizes. Ugly Chanukah sweaters are encouraged to be worn.

A large outdoor Chanukiah will be lit on Fri., Dec. 19 and the event titled “Chanukah on the Avenue” will also feature a beef brisket and latke dinner sponsored by the Temple Sinai Sisterhood and Brotherhood.
