Two Jewish ‘sub-krewes’ parade tonight

Both the Krewe D’Jieux and the Krewe du Mishegas, Jewish sub-krewes of the Krewe Delusion and the Krewe Du Vieux, respectively, get rolling tonight, a chance for local Jews to celebrate the Mardi Gras holiday as seen through a Jewish lens.

Both are considered sub-krewes because they are independent organizations that parade under the banner of the larger “mother” krewes.

The Krewe du Vieux gets started earlier the evening along the traditional route that moves from the Bywater and Faubourg Marigny areas into the French Quarter. The Krewe Delusion will follow their route.
